Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Keep Licensed (the "Service"), operated by Keep Licensed. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Keep Licensed is

Keep Licensed is a tool that helps licensed professionals track continuing education ("CE") and understand their license and credential renewal requirements. The Service is an organizational and tracking aid, not legal, compliance, or professional advice. You remain solely responsible for meeting the requirements of your licensing boards and credentialing bodies and for verifying your own compliance with them.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your authorization.

3. Membership and billing

• Keep Licensed is offered as a paid membership of $100 per year unless otherwise stated at checkout.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring annual charges until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time. Your membership remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not automatically refunded for the unused portion unless required by law.
• We may change our pricing on a going-forward basis; any change will apply to your next renewal, not the current term.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the certificates, records, and other materials you upload or send to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant Keep Licensed a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service for you, including using automated tools to read details from your certificates. We do not sell Your Content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful or fraudulent;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; or
• use the Service in a way that violates any applicable law or the rights of others.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the requirements, classifications, or compliance statuses it displays are complete or accurate for your situation. Always confirm your renewal requirements and compliance directly with your licensing board or credentialing body.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Keep Licensed will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of licensure, profits, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm. On termination, the right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
